Amber DosseyI am extremely pleased with the value and quality of the education I received while at Mays Business School, and I am sure that I will continue to benefit from what I learned there in the years and jobs to come.

After graduating West Point in 1995, Amber Dossey joined the Military Intelligence branch of the Army as a Second Lieutenant (2LT).  She attended the Officer Basic Course in Arizona, then was stationed at Ft. Stewart, Ga., with the 3rd ID (Mech).  She first supported the Engineer Brigade in the S-2 (Intelligence) office, then moved to Division staff in the G-2 (Intelligence) office.  She was the Platoon Leader for the C&J Platoon of A Co, 103rd MI BN, and then went to Battalion staff in the S-3 (Training) office.  While serving, she deployed on numerous local field exercises, to the National Training Center in California, and to Egypt.

Amber started working part-time with an oil and gas services company about five months before graduating from the Mays MBA Program.  After graduation, she moved to an HR generalist role supporting the corporate staff, about 300 employees.  A year later, she was promoted to HR manager, supporting about 700 employees working in the U.S. region of the company's Wireline Division.  In both those roles, she is responsible for a variety of HR functions, including working with compensation, employee relations, employment law, recruiting and performance management.
